Possibly intended to be a table covering. The decorative pattern consists of:\r\na) a zig-zag design at the top and bottom, 15 cm. deep, edged on the side by regular square \"piercing\";\r\nb) a 13 cm. frame with corner meander enclosing 8 pointed stars and large flat, fan-shaped motifs:\r\nc) a central panel of a peacock in profile with scattered butterflies, 8 pointed stars and rosette motifs.\r\nTwo  selvedges\r\nThere is a 7.5cm. fringe at each end.
