The music for the ballet was by Franz Liszt, arranged by Constant Lambert and orchestrated by Gordon Jacob.  The scenery and costumes were designed by Cecil Beaton.\r\n\r\nThe ballet was revised for performances at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, 24th March 1949.
