The soft background is made up of a variety of colours depicting distant land, skies, sun, and birds. A tall grey tower rises into the foreground of the watercolour painting from the drawing area outside of the inset. A backwards facing man is depicted on its top, facing into the watercolour landscape. The sketching and drawing that surrounds the watercolour illustration is made up of curving, diagonal, vertical, and horizontal lines that extend and meet at different dimensions of the painted towers.
