His was sent to paint the war-torn conditions throughout the country's provinces. The finished works were displayed in Hanoi. The images were so popular and evocative that they were translated into a series of posters available for sale. As part of the American anti-war campaign, the Glad Day Press in Ithaca, New York, published this edition whose proceeds funded much-needed medical aid in Indochina.","physicalDescription":"Elderly Vietnamese man dressed in white reading a book on the bank of the river.
