It was so vast that when he died, the sale \r\nwent on for nineteen days. Ranging from antiquities \r\nto paintings and sculpture, ancient and modern, it \r\ncomprised 327 ‘illuminated miniatures’, including these \r\ninitials, which shine like colourful jewels.
