For a similar jardiniere, but lacking the pierced work in the panels, see Dorothée Guillemé Brulon, Moustiers and Marseilles - Sources et rayonnement, Histoire de la Faïence Francaise, Paris, 1998, p. 59 bottom, which is attributed to the Ferrat factory at Moustiers, and where it is said that the shape was also made at Varages in 1855.
